Video installation exhibited in FIRST AND LAST at Counihan Gallery, 2012. The title of the exhibition took its name from the historic hotel on Sydney Rd, the first hotel into town, and the last on the way out. This hotel has the kitsch decor of the 'Old West', a motif I chose to explore with this work. I imagined the 'Old West' as unreal place, and elusive and romantic space that I longed for.

The exhibition addressed notions of the unfamiliar and the uncharted with specific reference to transitional realms and rituals of the dying and the departed.
