ARTIST STATEMENT

I am interested in the performance of daily life and the power structures in place which impact that. I explore the everyday through an intersectional feminist lens in an attempt at understanding the world immediately around me and my place in that world. My art finds its place in others through shared experience, provocation, and authenticity.

I am currently working on an ongoing and evolving project around feminist utopias as an exploration of power and place. Specifically, I am looking at paradoxical relationships girls, women, queer, gender- and neuro-diverse people have with public/private space, the power of suburban design, safety and violence.
